Dr. Yanique Redwood – Scholar-Practitioner in Residence
We are excited to announce Dr. Yanique Redwood as our esteemed
Scholar-Practitioner in Residence. Dr. Redwood, a values-driven and innovative leader with extensive experience in racial equity, community-based participatory research, and philanthropy, will spearhead transformative initiatives in her new role. These initiatives are designed to propel social impact, enhance community well-being, and foster equitable leadership within CLLCTIVLY.
As part of our commitment to Dr. Redwood, CLLCTIVLY is dedicated to supporting the Real Talk Support Group for Women of Color in Philanthropy. This initiative will be co-led by a trained mental health clinician and somatic practitioner and is designed to support women of color currently working in the philanthropic sector who have experienced racially motivated trauma in the workplace and are actively in distress.Â

Sean Yoes – Journalist-in-Residence
It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome, journalist Sean Yoes to join us as the distinguished Journalist-in-Residence. Recognizing the significant impact of his work, we are eager to provide support for his documentary project, “DISRUPTION: Baltimore’s Highway To Nowhere,” and collaborate on the creation of four short documentaries highlighting and amplifying Black Genius in Baltimore.

Sean Yoes, a native of West Baltimore has worked in television, film and newspapers during a career in media, which has spanned more than 30 years. He has been honored for his work by Baltimore City Paper, Baltimore Magazine, the Baltimore Sun, the Association of Black Media Workers, the National Newspaper Publishers Association and the Maryland, Delaware, Washington D.C. Press Association. He is the former Baltimore editor and columnist for the AFRO American Newspapers. Yoes is also the author of, ‘Baltimore After Freddie Gray: Real Stories From One of America’s Great Imperiled Cities.” He is the founder of The Black River Film Project, a production company focused on instructing, inspiring and platforming the next generation of West Baltimore storytellers. His short documentary, Disruption: Baltimore’s Highway To Nowhere was released in 2021. Yoes is currently in pre-production on the expanded 60-minute version of Disruption. His latest film project with partners Andre Chung and Rona Kobell, Eroding History, premiered at the Senator Theater on April 18, 2023.
