Beautiful Ventures has developed a multi-modal, interactive, bespoke learning experience for Black creatives and Black communities that centers the wisdom, ingenuity and lessons learned at the intersection of media, creativity, storytelling, and Black liberation work to secure Black liberatory futures.
By the end of this 3 part Workshop series, participants will be able to:
- Understand the roles of artists & creatives in the lineage of Black liberation work – historically and to the present day.
- Appreciate how stories we create and consume impact the systemic and material conditions of Black folks’ lives.
- Identify and analyze common anti-Black narratives and tropes.
- Apply frameworks, practices and tools to support story-telling and story-loving that affirm the humanity of all Black people.
