The African Diaspora Alliance (ADA) was founded by two Baltimore activists who experienced first hand the absence of African Diaspora history in public and private school curriculums and opportunities for black youth to study abroad.

Our mission is to holistically connect descendants of Africa to the global African community, known as the African Diaspora. The African Diaspora Alliance serves as a facilitator through a variety of diverse programs. Through our organization we seek to educate, encourage unity, and promote solidarity throughout the African Diaspora. Across all borders, through the services offered by ADA the diaspora is demystified and the mutual “exoticization” of the foreign ‘other’ is replaced with understanding and connectedness.

Our mission is to socially empower African American youth, through exposure to, and study of, African History and Culture.

The Urban Youth Initiative Project was founded on the belief that every student has the ability to learn. Founded in 2006, Urban Youth Initiative Project, Inc. is a community based non-profit 501 © (3) Youth organization that specializes in developing the greatest qualities in African American youth. We provide African American youth with a safe and secure environment wherein they can grow, develop and evolve. Our duty is to create programs and activities to cultivate and develop African American youth in all areas of person-hood.  We seek to motivate and inspire African American youth to aspire for excellence (by challenging them to challenge themselves).   U. Y. I. P.  is designed to arouse a sense of hope and facilitate parents efforts to instill core values that will ultimately empower African American youth.
