Our mentees and mentors are preparing a curriculum guide to accompany the documentary as a tool for youth mentorship; encouraging school communities to create and expand opportunities for authentic conversation and connection in their work with middle school through high school students from various societal backgrounds and ethnicities.
This year we’ve shared our film with students at Dunbar High School, Baltimore Montessori Public Charter School, Greater Faith Baptist Church Girls Club, University of Baltimore , and William Pinderhughes Elementary School. We are actively fundraising to completely our post production needs for the documentary as well as send our girls to their June youth talk in the Virgin Islands.
Each one of our young Black women are cinematographers in this film and speakers soon to be trainers of our curriculum. Our program started in 2007 at Dunbar Middle School join us in making our story shine.
