The Black Church Food Security Network partners Black farmers and urban growers with historically African American congregations to create pipelines for fresh produce from “soil to sanctuary.” We establish pop-up farm stands to sell produce at churches on days and at times when the congregation normally gathers.
We co-create sustainable food systems across the United States that are anchored by Black churches working in partnership with Black farmers and small business owners.
The mission of The City Weeds Urban Farming Youth Achievement Program: #BeMoreGreen to engage, train and empower youth (ages 12+), through the creation and sustaining of ‘micro-businesses’ related to urban farming & the food industry.
