Established in 2016, Browngirl Village (BGV) is a 501(c)3 that was created toĀ expose, empower, andĀ inspire BrownGirls ages 12 -18Ā with an emphasis on underserved communities to see beyond their current situations and expose them to new possibilities. We know that girlsĀ have the power to change their communities and impact the world. BGV promotes quality programming that help develop entrepreneurship in young womenĀ through ourĀ Browngirlpreneur initiative. We empower them to become leaders in their community and helpĀ them realizeĀ that anything is possible with hard work, dedication and determination. We know that broken girls become wounded women and we intend to break the cycle.
Founded by Sharon Page, a former flight attendant, author, sports columnist, event producer, and entrepreneur, her world travels helped her realize the importance of exposure in a young girls life.
