Ethnicitees LLC celebrates an amazing historical legacy since its foundation in 1994. The company was launched during my tenure as an Art Instructor with Baltimore City Public Schools. During Black History Month of that year, a student told me, in the middle of a Black History Month art project, that “No one has ever done anything for Black History other than Dr. King and Malcolm X!” This statement was proof of the intent of the public school systems to minimize and not teach our children about Black History and heritage! Ethnicitees LLC brand of apparel, mugs, and other collectibles are designed to feature hand carved linoleum relief block printed portraits of historical Black figures on the front, designed by Company Founder, CEO, Creative Director, Owner, & Printmaker, Sean Ramon Montague. The back of the t-shirt or other application tells the story of the historic figure on the back! Ethnicitees LLC literally pioneered the concept of biographical history apparel nearly 30 years ago! Since its inception, Ethnicitees LLC has been featured in museums, cultural centers, festivals, churches, universities, locally, regionally, and nationally, and internationally, with one of the contestants on “The Voice” wearing our Billie Holiday T-shirt during her performance! Over the years, our clientele includes Benjamin Banneker Museum and Historic Park, Great Blacks In Wax Museum, Elegba Folklore Society, Greater Mount Nebo AME Church, Baltimore Racial Justice Action, Smithsonian Anacostia, Artscape, MICA, Howard University, Bowie Town Center, Baltimore Urban League, Visit Baltimore, Baltimore Bicentennial Celebration, Harriet Tubman Museum Georgia, Reginald Lewis Museum, Peale Museum, Eubie Blake Museum, Howard University, Baltimore City Public Schools, Coppin University, and many others! Our origins, roots, and residences are in Baltimore City and Baltimore County, along with our mobile vending operations. Our retail stores, formerly Security Square Mall, Baltimore County, is currently located at the Bowie Town Center, PG County!
