CLLCTIVLY Tranformationist in Residence / Evaluation Scholar Practitioner / Spiritual Demographer / Chief Insight Facilitator Two Gems Consulting / Services Virtues Project Master Facilitator
Mama Dr. Geri Lynn Peak (she/they) brings a liberatory lens to evaluation, applied research, facilitation and coaching through Two Gems Consulting Services. She strengthens programs and social innovation by helping communities dismantle dominant system harms, build collective power, drive culturally resonant insights and facilitate individual and collective transformation for the betterment of all. Her Insight Facilitation approaches promote true understanding: identifying meaningful questions which, when answered provide a mirror to reflect where we are, a lens through which to discern our collective reality or a beacon that illuminates the path forward, however rocky. She leverages the Virtues Project™ as a restorative meaning making support and uses deep listening and reflection skills to encourage clients to transform themselves simultaneously with systems. As a “Spiritual Demographer” she applies universal and spiritual principles to her work to uplift truth and reject limiting narratives. She has practiced evaluation for 39 years, promoted healing from racialized harm for over 50 years, loved crafting for 60+ years and likely began dancing in the womb. She supports centering the Africana journey as a means for social advancement and fosters self-determination initiatives of racialized and marginalized communities locally, nationally and internationally. An official Spiritual Warrior, she is learning to love all and other no one as a radical act in alignment with Bahá'í teachings, As a Virtues Project™ Master Facilitator, she leverages the Five Strategies of the Virtues Project to improve organizational quality and measure outcomes as well as share the strategies to help people and programs become their best. The combination of intentional training in and application of the Five Strategies to add power to the evaluation experience led to the Virtues Evaluation approach, which is dynamic and forming. She also conducts workshops, training and coaching for virtues enthusiasts. Centering the healing of racism and uplifting racialized, marginalized, oppressed and minoritized people, while promoting the oneness of humanity is the prime motivator for her professional and volunteer efforts. She has actively worked on eliminating racism and all forms of prejudice since her teens; working specifically during the 1990s with the Institute for the Healing of Racism developed by Nat Rutstein, which inspired the Awareness to Action consulting partnership with his son, Tod Rutstein. Geri later joined the Equity Matters collaborative, which promotes racial justice and health equity by working to transform individual character and systems, leading both their evaluation portfolio and Virtues Project integration to observe, codify, document and advocate for equal access to power and privilege and the social, emotional, spiritual and physical benefits that result. She is now a member of the Living Well Brain Trust, centering Black excellence and solutions to challenges faced within the community of Africana people in the U.S. and beyond.
